The Tamburi district of Taranto has always interested and fascinated many designers, prompting them to seek possible solutions to the numerous urban and social problems that involve this part of the city.

The principles and criteria followed in the design phase are as follows:

- Enhancement of urban density through the redefinition of the residential block;

- Connection of urban blocks through pedestrian paths, visual permeability, soft mobility by sea and green infrastructure in the city;

- Reform the city by defining hub buildings, urban nodes and reconnecting urban caesura areas such as the railway station to give a new neighborhood identity
