DESIGN IDEA

Bagnoli, Park of Hope
The proposal breaks the painful bark with which the twentieth century has covered the places and, without erasing their history, encourages life to open a crack like a root that splits the cement, reconnecting people with their territory, water with the land and the golden green with the cliffs.
​
Long mirrors of water reconnect the present of Bagnoli with its Roman thermal past; the water also feeds trees and plants of the native flora of Campania; the reconquered hectares are crossed by paths accessible to all which also lead to the knowledge of the past with its greatness and its many errors.
​
The shoreline opens up again to the community: the industrial docks disappear, making room for a new beach, dedicated to the entertainment of Naples families and visitors.
